The new Generation in flight helmets

Characteristics

The new Iguana was built using the finest technology in order to optimise its safety and performance.
The principal objective for the new helmet, pilot safety, has been attained without sacrificing comfort and aerodynamic performance, by means of the leading-edge technology that hallmarks the product.

The new Iguana, like all Icaro 2000’s helmets, has the certification as a free-flight – paragliding and hang gliding – helmet in accordance with the European standard E.N. 966.

The new Iguana helmet is the first to provide semi-automatic size adjustment.
This system ensures a helmet of perfect fit, even though the exterior shell is made in a single size.
It therefore offers maximum comfort and maximum protection.

Expanded polystyrene, used for the inner shell, is a material that can readily be deformed.
Its function in this helmet is to absorb impact by means of deformation and/or partial destruction.
An excessively rigid material would not permit the dissipation of impact energy, and all the stress would be transferred directly to the head.

The inner comfort lining is removable, washable and replaceable.
It is made in transpirant, non-allergenic textile.

The visor is an option and easy to fix on the helmet.
It is made in high impact-resistance polycarbonate.

Also the ear protectors are an option and removable.

The Iguana is also extremely light,  but .........

You have to handle the helmet with great care .....
