2 The Design Icaro 2000 is a company committed to ongoing product research and development. For this reason, following requests by many pilots and dealers for a full-face Microlight helmet with built-in headsets, offering excellent vision and a high level of safety. Even though its volume is appreciable, this helmet is visually lightened by an exciting design that minimizes the lateral projections, inside which are the best Peltor Optime III earphones. |

3 Shell made of strong fiber glass layers Omega2, a helmet built using the same technology as in military applications, including high-modulus glass fibre and high-density polystyrol to guarantee the highest possible standards of safety. |

4 Visor normal (option) The long visor gives you great visibility both open and closed. It can be easily locked onto the shell, thus avoiding that it opens at high velocities. 40 Visor for rollbar (recommended option and mandatory with the rollbar and turbo skip) It is the same visor as the normal one but with a special locking system in front of the rollbar, thus avoiding that it opens at high velocities. 5 Sizes
The size of a helmet is always described by the inner circumference of the internal padding. The size number therefore corresponds to the head circumference in centimetres. |

6 Interchangeable internal padding This helmet has internal padding that can be replaced by larger or smaller padding pieces, thus varying the helmet size. You just choose your own size of ICARO tailored inner helmet lining for a safe, perfectly comfortable head fit…. It can be changed in moments in case a different size is needed. If the helmet is not a perfect fit, we send a new padding free of charge, independently from where you bought the helmet. The important advantage: you can easily remove the padding and replace it with a new one or just wash it. |

7 One size fits all (option at order time) We suggest this solution only for those pilots who fly with different passengers with different sizes. You can change the size very quickly and also very easily the transpirant paddings. Please note that the interchangeable internal padding is more confortable. |

9 “Float Fit” earphone suspension The “Float Fit” earphone suspension allows the earcups to settle perfectly over your ears. Float Fit also allows you to easily adjust the earphone pressure on your ears for best quiet and comfort, whatever your head size, simply turning the two screws on the inside of the helmet. |

90 “Rollbar” and “Turbo Skip” (recommended options at order time) The “Rollbar” has the function to protect the chin with a titanium-anodized aluminium tube. Icaro 2000 is a company committed to ongoing product research and development. For this reason, following requests by many pilots and dealers for a full-face Microlight helmet with built-in headsets, we opted for a different solution: the first helmet with a rollbar, offering excellent vision and a high level of safety. This helmet, with its exciting, high-tech design, is hallmarked by its most distinctive feature, the rollbar, which guarantees protection for the lower part of the face without reducing field of vision. The helmet is built using highly reliable materials and modern components. In particular, the rollbar, in high-performance aluminium, is highlighted by its titanium-colour anodized finish, which enhances the unit’s visual appearance. The Turbo Skip avoids that the air flow can enter from the under side of the helmet and create annoying turbolences between the eyes and the visor. It is fixed on the rollbar and can easyly be replaced. The turbo skip with a zipper is a standard feature on all rollbar options |

10 “Don Loop” The “Don Loop” donning loops make for effortless donning of the helmet with the earphones perfectly placed automatically. The donning loops on the two sides of the helmet are linked to the earphones. When putting on the helmet, these loops can be used to pull the earphones outwards, away from the ears, which makes it easier to lower the helmet into the final position. When the loops are released, the earphones return to their correct position on the ears. |

11 Certification E.N. 966 The Omega 2 has been tested by the italian laboratory Newton and recognized and certified by the TUV Rheinland. All our helmets are designed especially for free flight and micro light pilots, in accordance with the European standards (EN 966). Our helmets were designed and built specifically to be as light as possible. However they optimize safety for hang glider, paraglider and micro light pilots, as shown by the information above. 13 Weight
The weight of a helmet has a tolerance of +/- 50 grams due to the glue applied and to the thickness of the fiber glass layers. |

21 Introduction to ICE electronics With the Omega 2 Icaro launches its new in-helmet electronic systems for radio communications. For years, we have been in contact with a friend of ours, the engineer Ralph Chester, who was formerly a pilot in the Royal Air Force. Ralph has a company, Comunica, that manufactures state-of-the-art electronic systems for radio communications. We have invited Comunica, with their 25 years experience making leading helmet and headset electronics for sport and professional aircraft, to design a new communications range, of the very highest quality, to complement our family of sport and professional flying helmets: “ICE” = Icaro Comunica Electronics….. The ICE design philosophy is simple: To select the world’s very best components (ear defence, microphones, earphones, controls, cables and connectors, radios etc) to build your equipment, with cost a secondary consideration. To give you the highest possible levels of comfort, safety, ease-of-use and long life of your communications equipment. |

22 The ear cups Peltor Optime III For the Omega 2 we use only the finest Peltor-brand “OPTIME III” ear defence cups for the very highest noise-exclusion. The ICE detail design takes great care to preserve their special performance intact. They are mounted perfectly into the helmet. |

23 The Microphone One of (3) world top performance noise-cancelling microphones can be chosen:

24 The “Swing Boom” The microphone stainless steel/brass bendy booms are the top MILITARY type and have PTFE swing-bearings for smooth movement up-and-down from the mouth. It allows a perfect microphone positioning in front of the mouth. Swing Boom then allows you to simply swing the adjusted boom down below the chin, (to drink, use a handkerchief etc), and then rotate it back up in front of the mouth, and it will be once again at the correct distance, without any re-adjustment. |

25 The Loudspeakers The earphone loudspeakers are high fidelity mylar units. |

26 The Volume control The volume control is a tough MILITARY type. Omega 2 is supplied with an independent volume control system. Pilot and passenger can adjust the volume of their earphones independently, permitting perfect personalization and maximum flying comfort. |
